Reeling from Las Vegas

This post is written specifically for use in the CU Boulder film production class: Recycled Images.

After feeling deathly ill for almost a week after the lung-eroding three day stint I recently spent in Las Vegas Nevada, I have endured enough antibiotic horse pills, sinus flushes, anti-inflammatory pain medicines, pot-abstinence, sloth and wild temperature fluctuations to say that I am starting to feel better.

I really regret missing the screening of my classmates recent scratch films, as there was almost certainly a few illustrations that would have blown my mind into a state of epiphanic wonder.

I just finished my title sequence which has been scratched and bleached onto black 16mm print. I am hoping that the last section of bleaching I completed works, I have simply left it to stew on top of the emulsion until tomorrow...

Fulfilling Expectations and Keeping up With Campaign Promises

Well I guess I haven't ranted or displayed even a slight hint of paranoia to the collective mind of cyberspace yet, at least not through this website. I guess I've been feeling a little bit morose lately, like even if I do illuminate the misgivings and atrocities that I see in society, the government, and mass-media today they will simply continue to deride the potential for peace and human progress as we all spiral hopelessly towards the pitiful, violent, ignorant self-annihilation that seems all but certain to me as I consider "current events," "global politics," "logic" and "ethics." Even as I type, the cynicism and anger that inspired this passage seems to fade into existential, apathetic, melancholy...

Was that long enough to be officially considered ranting?speaking or shouting in a wild impassioned way, angrily and at length?

I don't know, but maybe I got some disillusionment in there for a start. Certainly some really exaggerated, skeptical nonsense will find it's way to this blog eventually. Until then you'll all have to wait in eager suspense (y'all might just be me, as I'm probably the only person reading this blog).
