My mother is an artist and art educator who has been experimenting with collage for quite some time. Elisabeth Hodermarsky's article referenced collage as finding worth in the "the ephemeral detritus of modern life" which reminded me of some of the projects my mother has worked on over the last five years or so.
She went on walks and picked up trash from the street, using it to create new art. Here are some examples of her work.
