ASSIGNMENT #1: PRECINEMATIC DEVICES
You might not because I censored it the first time you saw it.
Someone in this class is exploring similar objects for a final project.
I'm trying to hide the next picture past your browser window to heighten your sense of suspense.
Of course, this will only work if you don't remember my pre-cinematic object.
Then there was a title assignment. I scratched and bleached my black leader:
Clear leader, hockey puck and India ink.
My collage film. Scotch tape, selectively bleached 16mm film from FILM 2500 and pieces of a 35mm trailer for Pelham 1, 2, 3.
ASSIGNMENT #5: DISTRESS/DESTRUCTION
We collaborated to create an exquisite corpse style mash up.
ASSIGNMENT #6: HAIKU, EISENSTEIN, TRINITY
We all went to find film in a delightful Kuleshov exercise.
I'm still working on finishing this one, but I intend to create a new project for the Warehouse party at Astrolandd.
I'd love to show bits and pieces of it as I go along, but I feel like this might be a little too much of performance, distracting me from creating sincere artwork. In other words, the blog might slow down a little bit while I focus my energy on film making in preperation for my impending graduation, May 7th.
Now I'm going to go execute some criminal films with my guillotine splicer, stitch them back together, and shock them back to life.
Frankenstein monster.
exquisite post!
